Awards

Chateau Hansen has won more than 200 international awards for its red wines in just over ten years, some of them in direct competition with famous wineries in Bordeaux, France. None of the well-known senior Chinese red wine brands such as Great Wall, Changyu, Tonghua have ever achieved anything comparable.

Wines from Chateau Hansen have won 46 gold and 36 silver awards in international competitions in China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Korea and the USA, among others. At the Berlin Wine Trophy, four Hansen wines won the “Gold” award in the first two years of participation, 2012 and 2013.

The following year, Chateau Hansen achieved gold awards at the Lyon International Wine, Beer and Spirits Competition and the Vinexpo Bordeaux / Citadelles du Vin in France, the Asia Wine Trophy in Korea, at the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition in Greece, and at the Chicago World Value Wine Challenge in the USA. The Hansen Merlot Reserve was particularly successful this year.

At the Japan Wine Challenge 2014, the Hansen Five Star 2010 was named “Best Wine from China”. Chateau Hansen was named “China Winery of the Year 2014” at the New York International Wine Competition. In 2015, Chateau Hansen was named “one of China’s best wineries” by French wine journalists Gilbert & Gaillard. With this and the numerous gold and silver medals at international competitions, proof of the highest quality of Hansen wines was finally provided and Chateau Hansen gradually withdrew from international competitions.
